Honoka-lab's "Trace of Water" at Fuorisalone 2025: Transforming Waste into Enduring Beauty

Honoka-lab, a leading company in Japan specializing in repurposed water bottles, presented their "Trace of Water" exhibition at Milan Design Week 2025. This project vividly visualizes the potential of utilized bottles, demonstrating innovative ways to reimagine reclaimed materials and collaborate with Design Lab to uncover new aesthetic value within architectural materials.

Through their meticulous process, Honoka-lab discovered that water particles, when solidified for extended periods, retain a significant amount of moisture within the resin. This innovative approach not only highlights the studio's commitment to sustainability but also to uncovering hidden beauty in overlooked resources. The "Trace of Water" project was showcased at MoscaPartners Variations, located at Palazzo Litta, Corso Magenta 24, Milan.
