Japan East Wind: A Breeze of Japanese Design Sweeps Through Milan
During Milan Design Week 2025, "Japan East wind" graced the Brera Design District as a tribute to Japanese aesthetics and lifestyle. Marking their debut at Milan Design Week, REAL Style, a Japanese company, brought a breath of Japanese design philosophy to Italy with this exhibition.
Held from April 7th to 13th, 2025, at the MADE4ART gallery, the exhibition showcased new collections designed by Motomi Kawakami. REAL Style presented not just furniture but a way of life characterized by harmony and a respect for peace.
The exhibition included collaborations with SANSUI, suzusan, and KAWASHIMA SELKON TEXTILES, highlighting the diversity and depth of Japanese design.
"Japan East wind" sought to share core Japanese design principles such as functionality, high-quality materials, and a deep appreciation for traditional craftsmanship with a global audience.
The exhibition offered a glimpse into the Japanese sensibility for space and the art of creating an atmosphere of tranquility and balance through design.
The quiet and thoughtful elegance of "Japan East wind," a testament to timeless design principles, now invites us to explore another realm of design innovation.
